How many songs can you actually start?

Not songs you have learned. Not songs on your list. Songs you could count in and start right now, in front of people, with no chart in your hand.

Twenty-five titles every working player is expected to know. One honest answer each. Most musicians are surprised by the gap.

Why this number matters

Every musician carries two sets: the one they have learned, and the much smaller one they could play tonight without preparation. The second set is the one that pays. It shrinks quietly, because a song does not announce that it has gone, it just falls apart the next time you call it. This test measures the second set.
